The above forum rules where applicable also apply to private messaging. Abuse of the private messaging system may lead to warnings (as above) and/or the revoking of private messaging privileges.
Links are permitted in signatures and in posts. Such links may be made to commercial ventures, etc. Links are included within the text and image limits more fully described above. Links to offensive sites (at the sole direction of Moderators and Administrators) will be subject to removal. Any and all Links are subject to removal as a pre-caution at the sole direction of Moderators and / or Administrators.
Users abusing these rules will be warned and / or banned.
Knights Templar operates a three strike policy. Users will generally be warned a maximum of three times for any and all offenses in a three month period. If the need arises for a fourth warning, a temporary ban will be put in place of between 1 to 7 days.
Arguing with moderators or forum members after having received a warning will lead to an immediate additional warning. Should this exceed three strikes, a temporary ban will be put in place as above.
Users who feel they have been unfairly warned are welcome to email Elders@Knights-Templar.com outlining the reason(s) why they feel they were treated badly. The Knights Templar Council of Elders' decision is final.
Exceptions: Any and all suspected acts that maybe deemed harmful to Knights Templar, a fan of the forum, or a member of the forum, may be immediately banned at the sole and absolute authority and discretion of the Moderator(s) and/or the Elders of Knights Templar.
Any attempt to circumvent a temporary ban will lead to that ban being made permanent. Circumvention includes, but isn't limited to, re-registering under a non-banned username, changing IP addresses to evade an IP ban, and registering a new email account to evade an email ban. Circumvention also includes posting as an Anonymous user.
An exception to the three strike rule applies when users contact the Knights Templar Elders or Mahomet personally (via any method) and post insulting, indecent or vulgar material. Such users may be subject to an immediate permanent ban.
Permanent bans are a last resort and thought is given before implementing them. While Knights Templar may consider lifting permanent bans from time to time, this is a rare occurance.
